“Let’s face it. You have opinions, and you aren’t afraid to put them on paper. In ways you are a more aggressive writer because of this, but you also have a gentler side that expresses whatever you have to say in an entertaining, inviting way. Your characters and plots are thus very engrossing and cement your reputation as a good fiction author. However, you excel equally at non-fiction.”

it varies by which genre I’m reading at any given time. I read outside my own writing genre. Currently I’m in a zombie apocalypse mindset, and have been for a couple of years. Dirk Patton has a series called Voodoo Plaque, an 11-book series. I have read it completely 3 times and am halfway through the 4th reading. It can really build characters you care about.

I kind of hate myself right now… Since the quiz decided I was James Joyce. *glances at his incessant use of asides, semi-colons and long sentences… Cries* I’m afraid it might be right.

Lol! Take it easy, it’s just a test.
Mine was Hemingway, I don’t like him very much.

Aw, Hemingway’s not so bad. Just kinda… Dull, at times. At least he isn’t pretty universally mocked for being the maestro of the run-on sentence… XD

Yup, and at least he’s a Noble Prize winner 😉

James Joyce- With you, the rules of grammar and plot are meant to be broken. You get quickly bored with realism and traditional views in your writing and instead aim to wow your reading audience with the unusual and surreal. Some people think your stories are a little weird, but you like it that way because you really are a rebel at heart. You are also a highly intelligent person who enjoys looking up new and interesting words, as well as studying history and perhaps even psychology. In the end, then, your brilliance as a writer displays itself best in the presentation, not in the conclusion, of your work.
I’ll see about that. Haven’t written enough to know myself as a writer very well at all yet.

A lot of Hemingways here and I’m one, too. It doesn’t surprise me but I did think I would be more of a Dickens – as a lot of my characters are Victorian and in dire straits. 😉

Yeah, I don’t think Dickinson was an option, unfortunately.

Ernest Hemingway – “Perhaps one of your peculiar hobbies is listening to people talk to each other. In any case, it is apparent in your writing that the nuances of dialogue are important to you. Surroundings are also paid special attention to in your stories, thus showing that for you setting is just as important as plot. And you do have good plots. While you may or may not be of a particular faith, there is an underlying theme of good overcoming evil that gives your work special meaning to you. You are a normally introverted person, but your stories are the best way for you to express your thoughts to the world. “

Hard for me to settle on just one writer, but one could be Tolstoy, Last week I quoted him in my blog: “Art is transferring feeling from one heart to another.”
