Why are so interested in just horror novels? Have you even tried reading thriller/ fantasy/ mysteries/ science-fiction/ classics etc.?
LikeLiked by 5 people
Since childhood I was interested in ghosts & haunted places. I grew up with ghost stories. Even now I fear of dark, confined areas. I love being frightened, I don’t know why:D
I’ve read many books in different genres except romance. I hate romance!

Haha.. Well you’re right! A good scare is good scare π And romance is not that bad, if you read the right books. You can take some suggestions when you find yourself interested someday π

Ok, Ill go a little easy and not throw you directly into a mushy pit. You can start with this beautiful work called “A thousand splendid suns” by Khalid Hosseini. It is a good mix of romance/ struggle/ history and is outstandingly inspirational. I’d be surprised if you haven’t already read it!

Hi! Earlier you said you hate the romance genre! *gasp* lol. So I must ask, have you ever been in love? If so, how can you not like romance?! If you have no, then do you think that’s why you do not like the genre? βΊοΈπ

Mmm… well.. Yeah I was in love. I was the luckiest man in the world, at that time I was a romantic person. I would read romance & even I wrote a short romance “the Duty of Love”! But I was wrong! I’d made a big mistake in choosing the right person for my life. After we broke up I tried to avoid love & anything related to romance. That’s why a very romantic boy turned into a cold person. I hope I could answer your question Jen:)

Thank you so much for your response! I’m sorry that your love did not work out and that it has made you “cold” as you say. I’m sure that you still have that romantic side of you, hidden within all the love of horror you have βΊοΈ.

Whom would you consider the “father” or “mother” of the modern horror genre?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Stephen King! Father of Horror in 21th century.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Wow, now that kind of surprises me… And here I was thinking ~ though King is certainly great ~ that you were going to go back a bit further in history, so… two follow-up questions:
1) Why Stephen King for the “father of contemporary horror?”
2) Who would you name as “grandfather/mother?” (Someone like Poe, perhaps?)
3 And, okay, I can’t help myself: How about “mother” of horror? Any significant female authors of the horror genre?

WoW so many questions:D I’ll answer all of them my friend;)

1) King makes bold, brilliant use of of his satanic storytelling gift, his angelic ear of language, and above all his incomparable ability to find the epic in the ordinary.
2) H.P Lovecraft
3) I’m not familiar with females who write horror:)

I live in a three story house. At nights I sleep in third floor. One night I heard my phone ringing down stairs. I went there and searched for the phone. The phone was ringing but I couldn’t find it. Then I remembered that I was alone at home & my phone was on my desk at the third floor beside the laptop.
