I would consider Fiction more of a category than a genre per se, as in Fiction vs Non-Fiction. Good stuff.

Good clarification l, though I wish the community as whole could decide what to call that funny little sub-genre that is the blend of sci-fireballs and fantasy.
I always have a hell of a time describing my work.

I’ve made a genre for my stories and it’s called” Horror-romance”. I believe we can make up new sub-genres.

Fiction is such a huge subject; so many things can go into it! I wouldnt describe it as its own genre
